Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026
This policy covers publishing.soundisruptr.com and the application form on it. It is written to describe what actually happens to your information — not to be exhaustive boilerplate.
What we collect
Only what you type into the application form:
- Your name — so we know who we're speaking to
- Your email address — to confirm we received your application and to reply
- Your phone number — to contact you about your application
- Your Spotify artist link — so we can listen to your catalogue
- Your Instagram handle — to understand your audience
We also record the time you submitted, and how long the form took to fill in. The second one exists purely to spot automated spam, and is never used to assess you.
What we don't do
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We don't build a profile of you across other websites.
- We don't sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing.
- We don't ask for payment details anywhere on this site.
Where it goes
Your application is sent to our own server, then stored in a private Google Sheet that only the SounDisruptr Publishing team can open. You receive one automated email confirming we've got it. Our team receives an alert so somebody actually reads it.
We use Cloudflare to host and protect the site, andGoogle Workspace to store applications and send email. Both process data on our behalf. Nobody else receives your information.
The Spotify search box
When you type an artist name, that text is sent to our server, which asks Spotify's public search API for matching artists. Spotify receives only the text you typed — not your name, email or phone number, and nothing that identifies you. If you'd rather skip it, you can paste your Spotify link directly instead.
How long we keep it
If we take you on, we keep your details for as long as we work together and for as long as we're required to afterwards for accounting purposes. If we don't, we delete your application within 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email legal@soundisruptr.com and we'll action it within 30 days. You don't need to give a reason, and asking will never count against an application.
Depending on where you live you may also have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR — including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date at the top. The current version always lives at this address.
